Edge Unify 900 WG herbicide for post-emergent grass control in canola and legumes

Edge Unify is here!

We’ve been excited about this one coming – the new Edge Unify® from Imtrade is the only Propyzamide herbicide on the market with registration of post-emergent applications!

Check out more below from Imtrade Cropscience:

Imtrade CropScience is proud to announce the release of Edge Unify 900WG for post-emergent grass control in Canola and a range of legume crops, including Lentils.

What’s new about Edge Unify 900WG?

Edge Unify combines the active ingredient of a high-load propyzamide with a key synergist, nicotinic acid. Nicotinic acid has been proven to enhance the effectiveness of various root uptake herbicides, propyzamide being just one. It’s classed as a Group 3 mode of action.

What crops is it registered for?

The new and exclusive Edge Unify registration includes Post Emergent applications in Canola and various legume crops, such as faba beans, field peas, lentils, lupins and chickpeas.  (See label for application details).

Why is this important?

Post applications offer versatility. In lower rainfall zones, Edge Unify provides the ability to reduce reliance on premium pre-emergent herbicides and allows weed control management to be focused once a crop is actually established. In high-rainfall zones and where high weed pressure is present, Edge Unify post applications will provide the longest possible in-crop residual ARG weed control. The product’s post application also offers value to disc seeding operations or situations where incorporation by sowing is compromised or not ideal.

Where and how will it work?

Edge Unify can be used exclusively or in combination with a range of grass-selective Group 1 herbicides. Trial results demonstrate the improvement of weed control when mode stacking to support resistance management strategies.

To date, there have been few to no recorded situations of annual ryegrass resistance to the application of Edge Unify. The products Group 3 herbicide categorisation places the product as an excellent rotational tool to Group 15 mode of action chemistry such as Tenet, Boxer Gold or Sakura.
