GPSA in conjunction with PPSA and NHVR are hosting ‘Roadworthy Heavy Vehicle…Made Easy!’ workshops.
If you run your own farm truck, here’s something worth pencilling into your calendar. This August, Grain Producers SA (GPSA) is teaming up with PPSA the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) to bring a series of free, practical workshops to regional SA to make heavy vehicle compliance simpler and safer.
These “Roadworthy Heavy Vehicles… Made Easy!” sessions are happening in Jamestown, Kadina, Naracoorte, Murray Bridge and Loxton, and they’re open to grain producers and any members of Primary Producers SA commodity groups who own and operate their own trucks.
Whether you’re carting grain or delivering hay, the goal is to help you stay on top of your legal obligations without the headaches. From maintenance and road safety, to using the NHVR Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual without needing a law degree.
Transport expert Bernie O’Hara will be running the sessions, offering real-world advice and highlighting common compliance traps. It’s not just about ticking boxes, it’s about making sure your vehicles are safe, your paperwork’s in order, and your operation stays out of trouble.
By attending, you will receive both theoretical knowledge and practical training, which will be essential in helping you develop a tailored approach to heavy vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance.
Plus, everyone who attends will be eligible for one free heavy vehicle roadworthy inspection with the local participating mechanic after the event! But places are limited, so you’ll need to book in early through GPSA.
